*Beware of Users*
In every destiny journey, one of the most dangerous traps that many people fall into is the trap of users — individuals who are only interested in what they can gain from you but have no genuine love, loyalty, or purpose to add to your life. These are people who manipulate relationships, friendships, and even ministry connections for selfish interests.
While some users may pretend to care, their true mission is to:
• Drain your energy,
• Steal your virtue,
• Waste your time,
• Delay your destiny,
• And sometimes destroy your progress.
Proverbs 23:6-7 (KJV):
“Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…”
Many destinies have been delayed, contaminated, or hijacked because they could not discern users disguised as helpers, friends, or spiritual partners.
The danger of users is that:
• They often come in the time of your rising.
• They look like divine connections, but inside they carry hidden agendas.
• They draw close to you when your star begins to shine.
• They pretend to support you, but behind the scenes, they exploit your favor, grace, and open doors.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV):
”…for men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud… having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”
Users are destiny parasites.
• They attach themselves when things are working.
• When battles arise, they abandon you.
• When you need genuine support, they disappear.
• When you succeed, they return to celebrate you and take credit.
Spiritual Users in the Bible
• Delilah used Samson for selfish gain (Judges 16).
• Judas used Jesus for money (Matthew 26:14-16).
• Gehazi used Elisha’s name to collect what he was not sent for (2 Kings 5:20-27).
• Absalom used the people of Israel to overthrow his father David (2 Samuel 15).
Why God is Warning You
When God says “Beware of users,”
• He is preserving your peace.
• He is protecting your destiny.
• He is preparing you for the right people who will add and not subtract from your life.
The higher you go, the more sensitive you must be, because:
“Not every association is a divine connection.”
Matthew 10:16 (KJV):
“Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.”
Your Season of Discernment Has Begun
• Pray for discernment.
• Test every spirit.
• Don’t be moved by gifts, sweet words, or outward appearance.
• Be spiritually sensitive before allowing people into your personal space, marriage, business, or ministry.
