𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗦 At today’s Council Meeting, the title of Aldermanship was conferred upon Executive Mayor Councillor André Truter and Councillor Leonard Mitchell in recognition for their significant contributions and unwavering commitment to local government. Both councillors were awarded Aldermanship for their service as councillors of the Saldanha Bay Municipality. This honorary title is awarded to Councillors in recognition of their service over several years. Points are accumulated for each year served as a councillor, with additional credits granted for holding leadership roles such as member of the Mayoral Committee, or serving as Speaker, Deputy Mayor, or Executive Mayor of the Municipality. Aldermanship honours Saldanha Bay Councillors for their meritorious contributions to the community.
