Imām Ibn Qudāmah (d.620AH) رحمه الله stated:
"The Salaf used to love those who informed them of their shortcomings and mistakes.
*And as for us now, the most hated of the people to us are those who inform us of our mistakes and shortcomings."* [Minhaaj al-Qaasideen(p.196)]
