A business system is not just a tool, it is the nervous system of your enterprise. Processes are the circulatory pathways through which value flows from your vision to your customers. Without well-designed systems, even the most inspiring visions remain stuck on paper. In our live class over the weekend, we examined how companies like Amazon, Dangote Cement, and Indomie built empires not just through good products but through strategic processes. They didn’t guess their way to success. They planned, executed, and refined… repeatedly. You’ll learn this week that a vision without systems is just wishful thinking. Many governments and companies fail not because they lack ambition but because they lack execution frameworks. Can you recall when the FGN was projecting “Vision 2020”; I remember just like yesterday, that vision was admirable, but was it achieved? You see, vision is the destination; systems and processes are the vehicle that take us there. From Lagos to Port Harcourt, whether you fly, drive, or take a boat how fast you will arrive at your destination is dependent on your process; the process matters. The same applies in business. This week, we invite you to dissect your business system. Do you have systems in place that can scale your value proposition? Are your processes reducing friction or introducing complexity? Is your team executing or improvising? Remember: innovation must be repeatable to be profitable. And that is only possible through business systems and processes.
