15 Students Injured After A Tragic Road Accident Involving Moi University Bus On Tuesday, June 17, 2025, a Moi University bus carrying 50 students from the School of Arts and Social Sciences was involved in a serious road accident along the Kisumu–Bondo Road near Namba-Kapiyo. The bus collided with a Toyota Noah and a Toyota Fortuner during an academic trip. According to initial reports, the Toyota Noah, coming from the opposite direction, lost control and veered into the university bus’s lane, leading to the crash. Fifteen students were injured—three seriously and referred to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Hospital in Kisumu. The remaining twelve, along with two lecturers, sustained minor injuries and were treated at Kombewa Sub-County Hospital. All are in stable condition.
