ابو سعيد عن دخول أميركا الحرب ضد إيران يعني مسألتين / Bou-Said on America's entry into the war against Iran: Two Issues رأى الممثل الأعلى للشؤون الخارجية للمجلس الدولي لحقوق الإنسان المعتمد لدى الأمم المتحدة بصفة خاصة (إيكوسوك)، الدكتور هيثم أبو سعيد، أن استعداد الولايات المتحدة الأميركية للانخراط الكامل في القتال إلى جانب إسرائيل ضد إيران، مع بدء وصول حاملات الطائرات والقطع البحرية إلى المنطقة، يحمل دلالتين خطيرتين: إما أن وضع إسرائيل الميداني مأزوم ومهدد بالهزيمة، وتحاول واشنطن إنقاذه بأي وسيلة. أو أن هناك اندفاعاً أميركياً غير محسوب العواقب، يعكس لا مبالاة واضحة إزاء النتائج الكارثية المحتملة لصراع إقليمي أو دولي واسع، وما قد يترتب عليه من مآسٍ إنسانية جسيمة. وأكد الدكتور أبو سعيد أن جرّ الدول نحو صدام مفتوح في منطقةٍ مشتعلة أصلاً، يُعدّ استخفافاً بمبادئ القانون الدولي الإنساني، ويشكّل تهديداً جدياً للسلم والأمن الدوليين. كما دعا المجتمع الدولي، ولا سيما الأمم المتحدة، إلى التحرك العاجل لضبط هذا المسار التصعيدي الخطير، والعمل على نزع فتيل الأزمة عبر الوسائل الدبلوماسية والحوار المسؤول. Dr. Haitssam Bou-Said, the High Representative for External Affairs of the International Human Rights Council accredited to the United Nations in particular (ECOSOC), believes that the United States' readiness to fully engage in combat alongside Israel against Iran, with the arrival of aircraft carriers and naval vessels to the region, carries two dangerous implications: Either Israel's situation on the ground is in crisis and threatened with defeat, and Washington is trying to salvage it by any means. Or there is an American impulsiveness that reflects a clear indifference to the potentially catastrophic consequences of a large-scale regional or international conflict, and the grave humanitarian tragedies that could result from it. Dr. Bou-Said emphasized that dragging countries into an open conflict in an already volatile region constitutes a disregard for the principles of international humanitarian law and constitutes a serious threat to international peace and security. He also called on the international community, particularly the United Nations, to take urgent action to curb this dangerous escalation and work to defuse the crisis through diplomatic means and responsible dialogue.
