On June 16, Boricuas Unidos en la Diáspora, an organisation dedicated to the Puerto Rican independence movement, presented testimony to the United Nations Special Committee on Decolonisation, urging the UN to take more direct action to secure Puerto Rico’s independence from the United States as more than just a right that remains unfulfilled.
