The Wooden Canopic Chest of “Gua” with the Conopic jars. The Exterior of the Chest has painted borders and painted Hieroglyphic Inscription of one Horizontal line of text and the other vertical which ends by the crossing of Horizontal Line. As all Exterior sides contains Hieroglyphic Inscription that includes funerary texts on behalf of Gua, invoking the Four Sons of Horus, Isis, Nephthys, Selket and Neith. This Chest Contained the four Calcite Canopic Jar and each of them has wooden Stoppers and they are all made to be a Human headed deity. Discovered in Deir El-Bersha in Minya, Egypt. Dates back to the 12th Dynasty, The Middle Kingdom Period (1939-1760 BC). Displayed in the British Museum in London, England. #thebritishmuseum
