The Upper part of a gray granite of King Merneptah who is the son of King Ramses II. The Statue represents King Merneptah wearing the Nemes Headress with a Cobra in the up front and a false beard and a Collar. King Merneptah Cartouches are inscribed on his Shoulders. There are remains of Colors on the statue as the Headress was painted yellow and the eyes were painted White and Black. Dates Back to the reign of Merneptah, The 19th Dynasty, The New Kingdom Period (1213-1203 BC). The Statue was once displayed in “Ramses II and the Gold of the Pharaohs” Exhibition. Displayed in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, Egypt. #emc
