🦷 Oral hygiene is especially important in winter when we spend time in closed spaces—houses, cars, and buses. 🌬️
Most Zimbabweans don’t brush their teeth after every meal as is recommended, and many have never visited a dentist. We know toothpaste costs between US$1 and US$3 per 100ml tube, and toothbrushes are around US$1 for 8 or more, depending on the brand.
But how much does it cost to visit a dentist in Zimbabwe? Here's what we found:
- **Consultation Fees**: Generally, dentists don’t charge for consultations since patients usually know the issue.
- **Service Fees**:
  - Tooth extraction: US$20-30 for front teeth, up to US$100 for molars (including X-Ray).
  - Teeth cleaning: US$20-30.
  - Teeth bleaching: US$100.
  - Braces: US$1000 (cash) or US$1500 on payment terms (18 months).
