There has been a significant decline in blood donors as many potential donors, especially those with limited means, feel there is little point in donating blood that they or their relatives cannot afford in an emergency. In the past, donors were not only thanked for their generosity but also received perks like preferential rates and priority, which incentivized blood donation.
