Falcon College, one of Zimbabwe's wealthiest institutions, has recently installed a 1 MegaWatt solar plant at their remote location. 🌞 This installation, done by @AfricaCicada, will allow the college to operate independently from ZESA, ensuring a reliable power supply even during blackouts without relying on diesel generators.
With diesel prices at US$1.50 per litre, organizations like Falcon require tens of thousands of litres to keep operations running. A few months ago, ZESA unveiled a troubling plan to end load-shedding, effectively telling businesses and large energy users to fend for themselves while they focus on domestic customers.
It seems that organizations have taken this threat seriously and are now investing in their own energy solutions. Join our WhatsApp Channel to stay updated: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va7TvgnFSAtC7qL6Vi3x
