🇰🇪 Today afternoon, Kenya Simbas play their 2nd friendly match as part of their preps for #racug2025, fielding 2 squads with 30 players against 🇿🇦’s SWD Eagles. The SWD Eagles, based in George, Western Cape, compete in 1st Division & SA Cup. Founded in 1899, they have a storied history. They’ve won the First Division three times (2002, 2007, 2018), but struggled in the 2025 SA Cup, finishing 9th with only one win. One of their losses came against the Pumas, the eventual SA Cup champions & 🇺🇬 Cranes’ upcoming opponents. The Eagles have produced several notable players, including Johann Muller, Kabamba Floors, and Zane Kirchner - who is currently backs & kicking coach for the Uganda Cranes.
