✅ IF THERE IS NO POST-UTME EXAM, THEN THIS IS HOW TO CALCULATE YOUR SCREENING SCORE.
Follow the formula below to calculate your UNN screening aggregate score:
90% of your JAMB score + 10% of your O’level screening score
(Sometimes, UNN can use 80/20 or even 60/40, but in this post, we’re using 90/10 for the calculation.)
NOTE: Your screening score is the total of your O’level grade points in the four JAMB subjects + sitting bonus.

O’LEVEL GRADES ARE CONVERTED LIKE THIS:
👇
A1 = 90
B2 = 80
B3 = 70
C4 = 60
C5 = 50
C6 = 40
D7/E8/F9 = 0
SITTING BONUS:
1 Sitting = 40 Points
2 Sittings = 0 Point
‼️ EXAMPLE BELOW: ‼️
Candidate’s O’level grades (1 sitting):
English (C5) = 50
Physics (C4) = 60
Chemistry (B3) = 70
Biology (C5) = 50
Sitting Bonus = 40

TOTAL SCREENING SCORE =
50 + 60 + 70 + 50 + 40 = 270
JAMB SCORE = 250
NOW, THE CALCULATION:
👇👇
From JAMB:
90% of 250 = 0.9 × 250 = 225
From Screening:
10% of 270 = 0.1 × 270 = 27
AGGREGATE = 225 + 27 = 252
✅ FINAL AGGREGATE SCORE = 252
NOTE:
Cut-off marks vary every year, and UNN doesn’t publish departmental cut-off marks. They only release the general cut-off mark for screening application. Last year, it was 160.
Just relax and wait for UNN to release their official general cut-off. That will help you understand how well candidates performed overall and your chances of gaining admission into your desired course.
