Murkomen Nominates DCI Boss Mohamed Amin for INTERPOL Executive Committee Role
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has nominated Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Director Mohamed Amin as Kenya’s candidate for election to the INTERPOL Executive Committee, representing the African region.
The nomination seeks to strengthen Africa’s presence in global security decision-making platforms.
Elections will be held during the 93rd INTERPOL General Assembly in Marrakech, Morocco, from November 24 to 27.
Speaking on Friday at the 11th Regional Centre on Small Arms and Light Weapons (RECSA) Council in Nairobi, Murkomen urged member states to back Amin’s bid, calling it both a national milestone and a chance for Africa to influence global policing policies.
