The reason God takes time to impart His knowledge to man is because He desires to reproduce Himself in us. He wants sons—men and women who carry His life, His Spirit, His DNA, and most importantly, His character. And the defining essence of that character is Righteousness. God is the Righteous Judge - Psalm 7:11, and in Him there is no shadow of deceit or contradiction - James 1:17. He never misrepresents Himself, and His ways are always just, pure, and true (Deuteronomy 32:4). This is the same character He calls us to manifest on the earth. But righteousness is not natural to man—it is spiritual. No man, through human effort, can live up to God's righteous standard. That’s why God, through the power of His Spirit and the knowledge and revelation of His person, equips us over time to overcome the limitations of the human nature and walk in the reality of His righteousness.
