*RTI Act Section 2(f): Actual Definition*
“‘Information’ means any material in any form, including records, documents, memos, e-mails, opinions, advices, press releases, circulars, orders, logbooks, contracts, reports, papers, samples, models, data material held in any electronic form and information relating to any private body which can be accessed by a public authority under any other law…”
Means
💡 *What You Can Do Next*
*1. File a First Appeal:*
- Highlight that your question is not vague; you asked for factual deployment data, not opinion.
- Demand explanation on how this data is not available when banks routinely submit staffing reports to the RBI and internal HR.
*2. Refine the Query (if Refiling RTI):*
- Instead of open-ended queries like “how many officers in Tamil Nadu,” ask:
“Provide a copy of the document showing number of serving officers in JMG Scale I, MMG II, and MMG III in Tamil Nadu as of 31.03.2025.”
Mention specific document formats like “staff deployment roster,” “zonal HR records,” etc.
