NUST proudly celebrates yet another milestone in global scientific collaboration and innovation. Prof Dr Syed Ali Hassan of SEECS has been awarded a prestigious research grant under the NATO Science for Peace and Security (SPS) Programme. His project, “Shielding HAPS against Intelligent Link Level Attacks,” has secured funding over three years. The initiative explores advanced solutions to secure high altitude platforms (HAPS), future 6G satellite communication base stations, against evolving security threats. Prof Ali will serve as NATO Partner Country Project Director, collaborating with Dr Sohaib J Solaija from Gebze Technical University, Türkiye, who serves as the NATO Country Project Director. Notably, Dr Solaija is a proud NUST alumnus and former student of Prof Ali, making this collaboration a moment of pride for the NUST community. NATO’s recognition of this research reinforces the growing global impact of NUST's contributions to secure and future-forward technologies.
