📍*PADS WITH PURPOSE *📍 The Mastermind Foundation, in partnership with the Philosopher Foundation, has set a goal to donate 2,000 sanitary pads to students throughout the South Dayi District. To mark World Menstrual Hygiene Day, we launched this initiative on the 28th May, 2025 with a menstrual hygiene awareness session and the distribution of sanitary pads at Tongor-Dzemeni. We had the opportunity to engage with over 100 girls from four schools—three public institutions (E.P. JHS, R/C Basic School, and Ansuariyah Islamic Basic School) and one private school (New Age Preparatory School). This initiative helps empower young girls by breaking the silence and stigma surrounding menstruation. Providing sanitary pads ensures that girls can manage their periods with dignity and remain in school during their menstrual cycles, ultimately promoting better attendance and academic performance. Promoting menstrual hygiene education fosters a more supportive and informed community. It encourages open dialogue around health and wellness, while addressing gender inequality and poverty-related barriers that prevent girls from reaching their full potential.
