Imagine a world where Michael Jackson suited up as Peter Parker...
At the time, Marvel was on the verge of bankruptcy. The movies didn't exist yet, their stock had been delisted, and their animated shows were fading. MJ saw an opportunity - not to build a media empire, but because he genuinely wanted to become Spider-Man on screen.
