*Fatal Shootout – Police Officer Killed in Kianjau, Thika West* On June 18, 2025, Police Constable Bernard tragically lost his life in Makongeni, Thika during a pursuit involving an armed suspect. PC Bernard and his colleagues had responded to a report of suspicious activity. During the chase, the assailant opened fire, fatally shooting the officer before escaping.
