*Terror Conviction – 30-Year Sentences for DUSIT D2 Attack Accomplices*
In a landmark ruling, Mohamed Abdi and Hussein Abdille have each been sentenced to 30 years in prison for aiding the 2019 DUSIT D2 terror attack in Nairobi, which claimed the lives of 21 people. The court found them guilty of supporting the attackers with logistics, communication, and transport, contributing to one of Kenya’s deadliest terrorist incidents in recent history.
This ruling sends a strong message that those who enable terrorism, whether directly or indirectly, will face the full force of the law.
*Advisory:*
Combating terrorism requires collective vigilance. Be alert to signs of radicalization, suspicious communications, or unexplained activities, especially involving secure buildings, tech devices, or foreign contacts. Always report any unusual or suspicious behavior to the authorities
