Update Graduating from Moi University feels like winning the jackpot especially if you’re doing Education, English Literature major. For me, a missing mark delayed my graduation. What did the village say? “She never went to school.” “She’s a failure.” “She won’t graduate.” “Her father wasted his money.” Those words hurt. I cried often. I would go to my dad and tell him everything. And he’d just look at me and ask, “Nani alikulipia fees?” Me: “Wewe Dad” Him: “Sasa mbona mambo ya watu inakusumbua? Umewahi nisikia nikilalamika? Tulia, utagraduate. Wewe mambo ya watu ikikuingia, shauri yako, Toto.” A military dad 😆 🤣 😂 And just like that, I’d walk around with my head high. If I heard people whispering, I’d swing my hips, heels clicking, and pass right by them. Eventually, I got my missing marks sorted and I'm now a Mogul 😘. Bwana graduating from KU,UoN or Moi is not a joke!! Talia Mwangi
