🔷 CBE Pathways in Senior School (Grades 10–12) Under CBE, learners choose one of the three pathways at Grade 10, after completing junior secondary (Grade 9): 1. Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Pathway For learners with strength and interest in scientific and technical fields. Includes: Pure Sciences: Biology, Chemistry, Physics Applied Sciences: Computer Science, Agriculture, Technical subjects Mathematics Engineering and technology-related subjects 2. Social Sciences Pathway For learners interested in humanities, social sciences, and languages. Includes: History and Government Geography Religious Education Business Studies Languages: English, Kiswahili, foreign languages (e.g. French, Arabic, German) 3. Creative Arts and Sports Science Pathway For learners gifted in visual and performing arts or sports. Includes: Performing Arts: Music, Dance, Theatre Visual Arts: Fine Art, Design Sports Science Physical Education Media & Film studies (where available) ⚠️ Key Considerations: Learners are guided through a pathway selection process in Grade 9. Selection is based on interest, ability, performance, and teacher assessment. Not all schools will offer all pathways — some schools may specialize in one or two, depending on facilities and staffing.
