*ஒரு கூட்டத்தில் உரையாற்றிய டாக்டர் அம்பேத்கர் அவர்கள் பத்து வழக்கறி ஞர்கள், இருபது மருத்துவர்கள், முப்பது பொறியாளர்கள் தலித்துகளிருந்து வருவார்களா? அப்படி அந்த மக்கள் ஆற்றல் பெற்று சமூகத்தை உயர்த்தக்கூடியவர்களாக வருவார்களா? என நம்பிக்கையுடன் எதிர்நோக்கினார். ஆண்டுகள் பல உருண்டோட இத்தகைய உயர் தகுதி வாய்ந்த நபர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை இலட்சக்கணக்கில் உயர்ந்துள்ளது. டாக்டர் அம்பேத்கர் அவர்களால் தலித்துகள் முக்கிய பதவிகளைப் பெற்று ஆட்சி அதிகாரங்களையும் அந்தஸ்தையும் பெற்றுள்ளனர். ஆனால் துரதிருஷ்டவசமாக இந்த அதிகரிப்புடன் சேர்த்து சுயநலமும் விரிவடைந்துள்ளது. பயனடைந்த பெரும்பாலோனோர் சமூகத்திற்கு திருப்பி செலுத்தி கீழே உள்ளவர்களை தூக்கிவிட மனமில்லாதவர்களாகவே உள்ளனர்.* *While addressing a gathering, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar once posed a hopeful question: “Will there come a day when ten lawyers, twenty doctors, and thirty engineers will emerge from the Scheduled Castes and Tribal communities?” He envisioned a future where such empowered individuals would uplift society through their achievements. Over the years, this vision has materialized — today, there are lakhs of highly qualified individuals from these communities. Thanks to Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar's efforts, many Dalits have attained significant positions of power, authority, and social standing. However, regrettably, alongside this rise, self-interest has also grown.
