Since the outbreak of the Gaza war, Israeli forces have arrested at least 17,500 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society.
The group reported that around 150 people were detained over the past week alone, describing the ongoing arrests as part of a broader campaign of “collective punishment.” Among those detained are approximately 545 women and 1,400 children.
“Arrests have consistently been the most prominent and systematic policy employed by Israeli authorities—not only in terms of sheer numbers, but also the severity of abuses committed during detentions,” the organization stated.
