Ezekiel was a Hebrew prophet and priest during the Babylonian exile (6th century BCE). God called him to deliver powerful visions and messages of judgment, restoration, and hope to the Israelites. 3 Lessons from Ezekiel’s Life: 1. Obey God—Even When It's Hard: Ezekiel was asked to do strange, symbolic, and emotionally difficult things (like lying on his side for over a year – Ez. 4:4–6, not mourning his wife’s death – Ez. 24:15–17, and acting out sieges Ez. 2:3–8). Yet he obeyed fully. His life shows us that faithfulness to God may require courage, sacrifice, and trust—even when it doesn’t make sense. 2. God’s Presence Has No Borders: Even in exile, Ezekiel saw God’s glory (Ez. 1:26–28). The people believed God’s presence was tied to the temple—but Ezekiel’s vision proved He is with us anywhere. Even in hardship or foreign places, God remains near. 3. Hope Is Never Lost: In the valley of dry bones (Ez. 37)—one of Ezekiel’s most powerful visions—God brings dead bones to life, symbolising the restoration of Israel. This vision is a reminder: no situation is too far gone. Whether it’s spiritual dryness, personal failure, or national disaster—God can restore and breathe life again.
