One Year In: From Sanket Quitting His Job to Personal Growth to Building a Business with Manasi. Exactly one year ago today, Sanket made a life-altering decision: He left his Android developer role at Citrix to embark on a new venture, Do Baniye, alongside Manasi. It's truly amazing how quickly time flies when you're building something you deeply believe in! Do Baniye began as a shared passion in September 2023. Sanket had always been fascinated by credit cards and travel, and Manasi shared that enthusiasm. We started as a simple X (Twitter) handle, aiming to simplify credit cards for everyone. We broke down complex information, shared our journey of maximizing rewards and travelling at incredibly low costs. Gradually, our inboxes filled with messages. People loved our content and wanted personalized help to optimize their credit card strategies. During this exciting time, Sanket also faced some health challenges. Manasi saw Sanket needed to step away from his job to focus on recovery and pursue his interests. Sanket honestly didn't dare to make that leap alone, but Manasi stepped forward, offering her unwavering support and motivation, even while juggling multiple jobs herself. She helped Sanket understand himself better, pushing him to experience places and do things that he hadn't realized were so crucial for his personal growth. That's when we made the pivotal decision: Sanket would focus on his health, and in parallel, dedicate himself full-time to Do Baniye, transforming it into a thriving business. The past year has been a period of profound growth, both personally and professionally. Sanket focused on his health, embraced slow travel and conscious living, and they both even learned to swim for experiencing the Philippines to the fullest! We embarked on incredible journeys by driving about 6,500 KM (our longest road trip ever!) to offbeat places like Bastar, spending 45 days immersed in rural life, learning about ground realities, and contributing where we could. We dedicated countless hours to content creation and extensive research on credit cards and travel destinations. We challenged ourselves to exceed client expectations and still found time for ourselves. Today, after a year, we're proud to share our impact: •55 clients have received personalized credit card consultations, empowering them to choose the right cards for their expenses and goals. •28 clients have successfully planned their dream travels using credit card points, booking flights and hotels with smart strategies. •19 clients have benefited from our expertise in crafting detailed domestic and international travel itineraries. We once wondered if this venture could truly be a sustainable business if it would keep Sanket engaged. Now, we are writing this post in snippets, squeezing it in between client calls and travel plans. It feels incredibly rewarding to be busy, yet have the flexibility to travel and prioritize personal life. And receiving great feedback from our clients now and then has kept us going.
