Paying tribute to the martyred comrades who laid down their lives in Koh Jandar, Barkhan-BLF
On June 6, around 7 a.m., a large contingent of operatives from the puppet militia “Bugti Peace Force,” operating under the patronage of the occupying Pakistani army and intelligence agencies, and led by the puppet Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sarfraz Bugti, launched an attack on a patrol team’s camp of the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) in the mountainous region of Koh Jandar, Rakhni, Barkhan.
The Sarmachars freedom fighters immediately adopted a defensive strategy and, after an intense battle lasting approximately three hours, successfully thwarted the enemy’s advance and encirclement attempts, managing to withdraw safely. During this clash, two members of the death squad were killed.
However, the battle did not end with this initial phase. The enemy pursued the Sarmachars and implemented a strategy to block their escape routes. A few kilometers from the site of the initial clash, the Sarmachars encountered fresh reinforcements of the occupying Pakistani army, leading to another intense confrontation. This fierce battle continued for seven hours. In this prolonged combat, four fighters of the Balochistan Liberation Front embraced martyrdom and etched their names in the pages of history, while two soldiers of the occupying Pakistani army were killed and several others severely injured.
Among the martyrs who laid down their lives in the clash with the occupying forces at Koh Jandar, Rakhni, was Sarmachar Rasaan Qadir alias Rehan, son of Qadir Bakhsh, a resident of Dansar Labach, Awaran. Shaheed Rasaan Qadir Baloch joined the BLF in April 2023. Initially, he was assigned responsibilities in the organization’s urban intelligence wing. An educated and experienced fighter, he efficiently fulfilled his duties within the urban network. After being exposed to enemy surveillance, the organization transferred him to the Barkhan front in February 2025, where he quickly displayed exceptional skills in military affairs, guerrilla warfare, and frontline discipline.
The second martyr, Sarmachar Mustafa Noor alias Zubair Jan, son of Noor Jan, was from Tasp, Panjgur. He had been associated with the BLF for the past two and a half years in the national liberation struggle. He was actively involved in the urban guerrilla cells of Quetta and Panjgur and played a prominent role in intellectual gatherings and revolutionary public awareness programs. Recognizing his intellectual training and practical capabilities, the organization assigned him to the sensitive mission in Barkhan, where he attained martyrdom in the Koh Jandar battle.
The third martyr, Sarmachar Samiullah alias Meeran, son of Noor Muhammad, was from Malai Bazaar, Turbat. He joined the Balochistan Liberation Front in March 2024. Initially, he was attached to the organization’s secret urban network in Turbat, where he provided several crucial pieces of intelligence that foiled many of the enemy’s plots. Later, he was stationed at the mountainous camp in Barkhan, where his courage and bravery on the military front set shining examples for future generations of freedom fighters.
The fourth martyr, Sarmachar Shahzaib alias Shashan, son of Amir Bakhsh, was from Goni, Greshag. An educated comrade, he studied Zoology at Islamia University Bahawalpur. He joined the BLF in August 2023. Due to his academic, research, and intellectual abilities, the organization initially placed him in the media wing. However, in November 2024, he was transferred to the Barkhan camp, where he achieved the great rank of martyrdom in the Koh Jandar battle.
The great martyrs of Koh Jandar, Barkhan, have followed in the footsteps of Shaheed Sado Mari, elevating the spirit and identity of Baloch nationalism above tribalism and regionalism.
The Balochistan Liberation Front pays glowing tribute to the martyrs of the Koh Jandar clash and reaffirms its resolve to continue the mission of the martyrs until the liberation of Balochistan is achieved.
