*Fowl Pox in Poultry Birds and Turkeys: What You Need to Know*

What is Fowl Pox?
Fowl Pox is a viral disease affecting chickens, turkeys, and other poultry birds. It's characterized by two forms:
1. *Dry Pox (Skin Form):* Lesions, scabs, or wart-like growths on the skin, especially around the face, eyes, and legs.
2. *Wet Pox (Diphtheritic Form):* Yellowish lesions or plaques in the mouth, throat, and respiratory tract, leading to difficulty breathing.
Transmission:
Fowl Pox is spread through:
- Mosquito bites
- Direct contact with infected birds
- Contaminated feed, water, or equipment
Prevention and Control:
- Vaccination
- Mosquito control measures
- Good hygiene and biosecurity practices
- Isolation of infected birds
Symptoms to Watch Out For:
- Lesions or scabs on the skin
