*mchenokunei: Matobo Goes Fashion & Beyond* Date: Saturday 24 May Location: Friendship Bench Hub Time: 1630 Entry: Free The Matobo project is a multi-level collaboration between Fashion Council of Zimbabwe and the German Embassy in Zimbabwe. The project seeks to preserve the cultural heritage of hut print patterns done by the women of Matobo in Matebeleland. After taking these patterns and placing them on fabric, designers from across Zimbabwe were chosen to create pieces. The fashion will be on display on the day, plus live music and food.
