He made millions in dollars within a day. The president is also one of the largest commercial farmers in Zambia, with a total workforce of about a thousand workers on his farms. He is one of the biggest ranchers in Africa, with an estimated over 800,000 cattle on all his ranches. In a live interview on SABC channel 10 years ago, he had an estimated over 500,000 cattle, with over 200,000 animals in just two of his ranches. The Head of State is not only a rancher and crop farmer but also the biggest commercial farmer president in Africa and the richest man in Zambia. What's interesting is the price tag of the auctioned bulls, some sold at over $8,000 each. You can do the math with the population he has to estimate his wealth in cattle. Using the average price of the auctioned animals on June 1st, the President of Zambia could have about $2 billion in cattle alone. He has been a champion of farming in Zambia over the years.
