*Students are confused about whether the MDCAT will be provincial or national.*
_Some institute officials have told them that this time, the MDCAT will be national, and they should study all province's textbooks._
*I am posting this to clear this doubt.*
First of all, you should know what is *National MDCAT* and how it works.
*National MDCAT* _means that the test will be the same for all (same questions for everyone), and the paper will be prepared from all province's textbooks._
_This year, there is confusion about how the paper will be prepared and whether the MDCAT will be National or Provincial. Here are a few changes that have caused this confusion:_
- _PMDC will prepare its own question bank, which will include questions from all province's textbooks._
_Because of this, students are confused thinking that since *questions are from all province's textbooks,* they will have to study all province's textbooks, and *MDCAT will be National.*_
*Lee Answer⏩*
*Why PMDC preparing its own question bank?*
*The reason for this is:*
- _Last year, cases were filed in court against SZABMU and UHS because:_
- _The exam paper contained out-of-syllabus questions_
- _Some questions had incorrect options_
- _Some questions weren't even from the textbooks_
- _Some questions were completely wrong_
*To solve these problems, PMDC have taken responsibility this year to:*
- _Create its own question bank_
- _Provide this bank to all provincial conducting bodies_
- _To prepare Question papers from this bank_
*And this is how resolve all of last year's issues*
*MDCAT Paper Will Be Prepared by*
- _PMDC Council members along with each province’s conducting body *(UHS, KMU, SZABMU, Lumhs/Pumhs, BMC )*_
_The conducting bodies will analyze whether questions are from their own province's textbooks or from other province's text books._
- *If questions are taken from other province’s textbooks* _the same controversies as last year could repeat._
*Then, what’s the benefit of PMDC’s planning?*
*Can We Call It a National MDCAT Just Based on a Question Bank?*
*No.* Simply having a *Question bank does not make it a "National MDCAT."*
- A *true National MDCAT* would mean:
- *One exam for all provinces* (same paper nationwide).
- *Uniform syllabus*
- *No provincial variations in difficulties level*
_The *latest PMDC notification* (regarding domicile restrictions) makes one thing clear:_
- _A student can't take the test under another province’s conducting body._
*Now think about it*!
Then how Questions will come from other province's text books?
1. *Focus on Your Preparation* _Don’t waste time on overthinking provincial differences._
2. *Stick to Your Syllabus* _Cover core concepts from *PMDC official syllabus* and your provincial textbooks._
3. *Ignore Rumors* _Rely only on *authentic updates*
