*PHANEROO~DEVOTION* Saturday, 14th June 2025 Apostle Grace Lubega *Matthew 26:38 (KJV):* Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. *WATCH WITH ME* In the Garden of Gethsemane, under the weight of impending crucifixion, Jesus turned to His closest disciples with an invitation: “Watch WITH ME” This was not just a call to prayer; it was a beckoning into His inner world—a sacred place of burden, sorrow, and divine communion. He was not asking for their strength but drawing them into the very heart of intercession, that they may feel what He feels, see what He sees, and stand where He stands. This is intimacy: to be invited into the hidden groanings of God. Today, this invitation continues. When spiritual authorities call us to pray—be it for a nation, a generation, or a specific cause—it is often not merely about routine obedience. It is a beckoning to watch WITH them, to share in the convictions they carry from the Spirit and groan with heaven over matters that must be birthed in prayer. There are also moments when the Spirit burdens a man or woman with heavenly urgency. Those sensitive to the whisper of God discern these holy moments and the fact that heaven needs them to labour in prayer. Jesus could have prayed alone. But He wanted them with Him. Not because He needed their help, but because He desired their fellowship in that sacred travail. Likewise, when a spiritual leader says, “Join me in this prayer,” or “Heaven is impressing this burden on my heart,” it is often the Spirit calling you into that inner place of 'watching with' where prayer is no longer a task but a union of hearts. Hallelujah! *FURTHER STUDY:* Romans 8:26-27; Ezekiel 22:30 *GOLDEN NUGGET:* 'Watching WITH' is not just a call to prayer; it is a beckoning into the inner world of the Spirit—a sacred place of burden, sorrow, and divine communion. It is an invitation into the very heart of intercession, that one may feel what the Spirit feels, see what He sees, and stand where He stands. *PRAYER:* Loving Father, I thank You for this word. My eyes are opened to the sacred invitations You extend—through Your Spirit and through those You’ve anointed. May I not sleep in the hour You ask me to watch. Draw me into the deep waters of intimacy, that I may not only pray, but watch with You. Let me feel what You feel and speak what You speak, that I may partner with heaven in full obedience and love. Amen. bit.ly/HowToDiscernThePurposesOfGod *#phaneroodevotion📜*
