Farmers lost up to โ‚น40 lakhs (VND 1 billion) eachโ€”shrimp stocks completely destroyed. Over 32,000 fish (cobia, croaker, bass) died in Cua Viet cage farms due to sudden salinity drop. Farmersโ€™ entire seasonโ€™s investmentโ€”post-larvae, feed, and laborโ€”gone in one night. No time to actโ€”floodwaters rose over 2 meters by 1 AM, washing everything away. Aquaculture farmers are devastated. Immediate support and climate-resilient solutions are urgently needed to protect these coastal livelihoods.
