He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. —MATTHEW 19:12 When I was about to enter ministry I asked my dad his opinion about my decision. He told me he had lived for a long time and interacted with many pastors, and from experience he had noticed that three types of people can be found in ministry. The first, he said, were people whom God had called. He added that those people were always fruitful. The second were people who became ministers for financial gain. The third were people who were not called but felt they had to help. The last two, he concluded, bore little fruit. He quoted Scripture without knowing it. These three types of people can be found in Matthew 19:12. Who did God create you to be? Anything you do merely for financial reasons or to satisfy a desire and is not your calling will result in little fruit. Be who God wants you to be, and watch yourself flourish!
