*KAKRA BAIDEN AIRPOWER DEVOTIONAL* *GOD USES PEOPLE TO COMFORT US* “For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears. Nevertheless, God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus” (2 Corinthians 7:5-6). This reminds us that while the Holy Spirit is our ultimate Comforter, God also uses people to bring us comfort. I once saw an old man in the UK struggling to push his shopping cart. He could barely walk, yet there was no one to help him. The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “This man lived only for himself. He never helped anyone, and now he has no one to comfort him.” This was a sobering reminder that we reap what we sow. If we invest in others, we’ll have people to comfort us in our time of need. “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Galatians 6:7). Let’s take time to invest in people—helping, encouraging, and comforting them. One day we’ll need the same support, and God will send someone to comfort us.
