PM Sh Narendra Modi Ji has always expressed respect towards teachings of our Guru Sahibs and affection towards members of the Sikh Sangat has taken momentous decisions, several of which were pending for decades, for the benefit of Sikh Sangat around the world and as a mark of respect towards our faith. From opening of the Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor in 2019, to taking keen personal interest in organising befitting celebration of 550th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, 350th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and 400th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji; removal of GST from Langar Seva & FCRA approval for donations and providing better rail, road and air connectivity to holy sites of Sikhism, the ropeway project for Sri Hemkunt Sahib, to declaring December 26 as Veer Baal Diwas. Showing compassion & resolve, PM Modi Ji also took measures which ensured justice for victims of 1984 violence, and ensured safe refuge for Sikhs of Afghanistan.
