ORIC Extends Its Heartfelt Congratulations on a Landmark Achievement in Inclusive Education 🎉 The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) proudly extends its warmest congratulations to Prof. Dr. Nasir Sulman, Dean, Faculty of Education (Principal Investigator) and Dr. Shaista Naz, Assistant Professor, Department of Special Education (Co-PI) for their exceptional work in advancing inclusive education and disability support in Sindh. Under the SRSP Project 2021–2022, the team successfully developed a groundbreaking Directory of Facilities and Services for Persons with Disabilities in Sindh. This comprehensive resource brings together vital information to support inclusive education, rehabilitation services, and disability-focused interventions across the province. The directory features verified details of special education institutions (public and private), government and social welfare departments, NGOs, thalassemia centers, and procedural guidelines for registering welfare organizations. Alongside this, the project evaluated the training needs of over 400 general and special education teachers and principals—laying the foundation for capacity-building initiatives aimed at improving inclusive practices in mainstream schools. This milestone achievement is not just a research outcome, but a practical and empowering tool for policymakers, educators, institutions, and families committed to promoting equity in education. We applaud Dr. Nasir Sulman and Dr. Shaista Naz for their dedication, leadership, and impactful contribution toward creating a more inclusive and accessible educational ecosystem in Pakistan.
