*ALLΔ€H has not decreed a certainty as doubt-free as death, but going by our attitude towards death it seems as if it is a doubtful thing in which there is never any certainty*. We can have doubts about anything, but we cannot doubt the fact that sooner or later our life will end. Yet, surprisingly, our lifestyle conveys the impression that we are unconcerned and unaware of death as if we are immortal! Thus, we do not prepare ourselves for receiving it with faith and good deeds. Let us be realistic and accept that one is bound to die and it can happen at any time. That being the case, we must keep ourselves prepared at all times to avoid regret and shame when death does catch up with us. Ibn Umar used to say, β€œIn the evening do not expect ΛΉto live untilΛΊ the morning, and in the morning do not expect ΛΉto live untilΛΊ the evening. Take advantage of your health before times of sickness, and ΛΉtake advantage ofΛΊ your life before your death.” {Al-Bukhari}
