Kent State University said it is closing the centers to comply with Ohio Senate Bill 1. The bill, known as the Advance Ohio Higher Education Act, bans diversity, equity and inclusion-based hiring and enrollment in universities and bans school faculty from going on strike. The law goes into effect on June 27.
