But take heart; I have overcome the world.” - John 16:33_ Jesus promised to His disciples and to us that while we live in this world, we will face trials, hardships and sufferings. But we can enjoy His peace and victory, because He has overcome the world. In Romans 8, the Apostle Paul writes that this is a characteristic of a disciple of Christ. While we, as ordinary people, go through various humps and detours in our life journeys, we can be overcomers, because we have a supernatural God walking alongside us.
