Former Governor of Abia State and serving Senator, Orji Uzor Kalu, has inaugurated the newly reconstructed Zamfara State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, as well as the renovated structures at the Zamfara State College of Arts and Sciences (ZACAS), Gusau. At the inauguration ceremony, Senator Kalu commended Governor Dauda Lawal for the visible transformation taking place under his leadership. He described the efforts as a major step towards rebuilding and repositioning the state for sustainable development. He urged Governor Lawal to foster a collaborative relationship with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in order to attract greater Federal Government support for the state’s development. He then announced plans to establish two major companies in Zamfara: a food processing plant targeting exports to India and China, and a mineral processing firm to harness local resources such as gold and lithium.
