
U.S. Department of State - Security Updates for U.S. Citizens

Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza: On June 14, 2025, the U.S. Department of State authorized the voluntary departure of family members and some non-emergency U.S. government employees in Mission Israel. The U.S. Embassy has directed that all U.S. government employees and their family members continue to shelter in place until further notice. U.S. Embassy Jerusalem and the Embassy Branch Office in Tel Aviv remain open and continue to provide emergency consular services. Ben Gurion Airport is currently closed. There are limited flights available from Jordan. Land crossings to Jordan are currently operating and are scheduled to be open on Sunday, June 15, with the following hours:
The Southern (Yitzhak Rabin/Wadi Araba) crossing: 0800 -2000
Allenby/King Hussein Bridge: 0800 – 1430.
The Northern (Jordan River/Sheikh Hussein) crossing: 0830 -1430.
