We had an exceptionally special batch on the Hampta Pass trek this time — a group of women who passed out of the Officer Training Academy 25 years ago, returning to each other in the mountains with something deeply personal to mark.
They came not only to walk a trail, but to honour the memory of the brothers-in-arms they lost along the way — and to celebrate all the life they’ve lived since.
What made it even more special was that they brought their daughters along — crossing rivers, navigating boulders, and watching each other shine in unfamiliar terrain.
It was an act of remembrance, of resilience, and of passing the torch in the most beautiful way.
Trekked in the true army way. WS 16 — thank you for letting us be a part of it.
