Tonsils!
1. What are tonsils?
=Tonsils are two small, oval-shaped masses of lymphoid tissue located at the back of the throat. They are part of the immune system and help fight infections.
2. Where are the tonsils located?
=The even tonsils are located at the back of the throat, one on each side, just behind and above the tongue.
3. Why do we have tonsils?
=Tonsils help protect the body from germs that enter through the mouth and nose. They trap bacteria and viruses and produce antibodies to fight them.
4. When do tonsils usually get infected?
=Tonsils often get infected during childhood or adolescence, especially when exposed to viruses or bacteria. This condition is called tonsillitis, and it's more common during cold and flu seasons.
