📌```Difference b/w NUMS and MDCAT```🩺 🚀 _What is NUMS?_ NUMS is the entry test for *Army affiliated medical colleges*. 🥼 Public sector includes *Army Medical College, Rwp*(27 seats for civilians with 11 lac fee per year). Other army affiliated med clgs include *CMH* of different cities. Fee varies in different cities. Highest fee is of CMH Lahore (Total 1.5 crore for 5 years).💸 🚀 _How to prepare for NUMS?_ You just need to do complete prep of *MDCAT* to appear for NUMS. Yes, u read that right. No academy offers separate prep for NUMS. There are some chapters like atomic spectra, transition elements, s and p block elements and 2 or 3 more which aren't included in NUMS but included in MDCAT. You just need to prepare for MDCAT in order to appear for NUMS. 🤓 🚀 _Is NUMS a provincial or national test_? NUMS is a test of national level means same paper all over pk. If you've prepared physics and chemistry from your own provincial text book, it's perfectly fine 🙂‍↔ but for biology, u'll need to go through *federal biology text book* as well. 📚 🚀 _Whats the difficulty level of NUMS?_🧠 NUMS has always been *easier* than MDCAT. You can easily judge from past papers. However, it was very unexpected last year (2024) as the test had MCQs of MBBS level 💀 and many unexpected things which aren't of A levels/FSc. If something like this happens, it affects the overall merit. Thus, the merit dropped quite much. 📊 🚀 _What's the merit?_ It depends on the difficulty level of NUMS. Normally, the merit for AMC is 97/98%. Last year it was around 93/94%. (For civilians)🫣 For CMH, the merit is lower; 86% for CMH Lahore last year. However it has normally been 91% in the past years (CMH Lahore). It's lower for other cities like Karachi, Islamabad, Kharian etc. 🌚 🚀 _Aggregate calculation formula_? *10% matric/O levels* *40% FSc/A levels* *50% NUMS test*🌟 🚀 _Test Pattern_? Total 200 MCQs. (Fill bubbles) ✍🏻 ▪️150 MCQs consisting of physics, bio, chemistry and English. ▪️50 MCQs for psychology (it doesn't carry marks, just for testing your psychology) NUMS score is declared in percentage (out of 100). You won't get to to know the exact marks u scored out of 150 cuz of the %age.
