Taraba: Gov.Agbu Kefas provide more livelihood support to communities affected by crisis. Taraba State Government has provided additional support of grains, fertilizers and compact mini tractors to communities affected by recent farmers herders crisis. The communities are Munga Lelau,Munga Dosso and Ngorore Jabu in Karim Lamido Local Government Area. While Presenting the items at Governor Agbu Kefas Agricultural Mechanization Center in Jalingo, Commissioner of Agriculture and Food Security,Professor Nicholas Namessan Oliver said the gesture is in line with Governor Agbu Kefas policy to identify with the people. He posited that this is not time for politicking hence the need for people responsible for the distribution to do so with all sense of diligence to ensure that those genuinely affected are carried along Professor Nicholas Namessan Oliver,explained that the magnanimity was also extended to the Fulani communities. The Commissioner re assured the people of Governor Agbu Kefas resolve of maximum security for them to return home and farm for food sufficiency. Commenting, Commissioner of Tertiary Institution,Mike Dio Jen,thanked Governor Agbu Kefas for identifying with people of the affected communities. Mike Dio Jen,former Member Representing Karim One State Constituency urged communities affected by the crisis to take responsibility of the tractors given to them to boost yields. Also Speaking,Executive Secretary of the Taraba State Emergency Management Agency,Doctor Eshuseh Audu explained that Governor Agbu Kefas had earlier provided livelihood support to people of the communities including cash to ameliorate their sufferings. On her part, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security Sarah Ali encouraged representatives of the communities not to divert the items but give them to those who truly need them. Representatives of the communities who spoke with our Agric correspondent thanked Governor Agbu Kefas for the assistance including cash support and prayed God to bless him bountifully.
