*TARABA SEMA Launches Flood Disaster Sensitization Campaign in Namnai and Shagarda Communities*
The Taraba State Emergency Management Agency (TSEMA) has launched a flood disaster sensitization campaign in Namnai community and Shagarda, Gassol Local Government Area. Led by Mr. Sani Maisukwati, Director of Public and Corporate Affairs, representing the Executive Secretary, Dr. Audu Echuseh, the campaign aims to educate residents on flood disaster risks, prompted by NIMET's forecast of potential flooding this year.
Campaign Objectives:
- Educate residents on flood disaster risks and preparedness measures
- Demonstrate community participation in disaster risk reduction
- Distribute flood preparedness flyers and materials
Campaign Activities:
1. Courtesy Visits: TSEMA team visited the Village Heads of Namnai, Mr. Saliu Musa, and Hakimin Shagarda, Mr. Daibu Usman.
2. Flood Preparedness Demonstrations: TSEMA team demonstrated flood preparedness measures to residents.
3. Distribution of Flood Preparedness Materials: TSEMA distributed flood preparedness flyers and materials to residents.

- Mr. Maisukwati urged residents to be vigilant and report any rising water levels to TSEMA.
