*TA'AMBON OF MAMBILLA THANKED GOVERNOR FOR FULFILLING ONE OF THE LONG-STANDING PROMISES* Jimmy S. Kella The Ta'ambon of Mambilla, HRM Dr. Shehu Audu Baku II, expressed heartfelt gratitude and joy to H.E. Dr. Agbu Kefas after the public hearing at the Taraba State House of Assembly for the establishment of Taraba State University of Agriculture and Climate Action. The monarch hailed the governor's efforts in fulfilling one of the long-standing promises made over six decades ago during the plebiscite. He noted that the forefathers of Mambilla Plateau would rejoice in their graves, knowing that education, among other promises, had finally come to fruition. The Royal Father thanked the trio of Rt Hon Abel Peter Diah, Hon Abdulazeez Titong and Nelson Cyprain Len who championed the cause, attributing the success to the unity of the people of Mambilla. He urged his subjects to sustain the momentum and continue working together. In a heartfelt gesture, the monarch blessed the legislators and the land of Mambilla, praying that good projects and progress would continue to come to the land. He assured his people that as their father, he would always guide and support them, alongside the spirit of the land. Spiritedly, High Chief GeeTee Kataps Ngwii , SGS Taraba State, echoed the importance of unity, emphasizing that it was sacrosanct to the progress of Mambilla Plateau. He commended the peaceful coexistence among the people over the past two years and urged them to continue shunning gossip and negativity. Hon. Abubakar Bawa, PDP Chairman in Taraba State, praised Governor Kefas' love for Mambilla Plateau, hinting that the people would show their appreciation in 2027 during the election. Rt. Hon. Abel P. Diah, the longest-serving member of the Taraba State House of Assembly, expressed joy over the bill, stating it was a dream come true for his people and one of the best bills ever that made him happy. The gathering was well attended by people from all walks of life from Mambilla Plateau, who celebrated with songs and chants, expressing their gratitude to the governor for this milestone achievement.
